DIY Avocado + Coconut Deep Conditioner

Improve Hair Health with An Avocado & Coconut Deep Conditioner

Adds Shine, Detangle hair gently, improve texture, smooth and soften your hair with this wonderful DIY Avocado Deep Conditioner!

This is my all time favorite go to deep conditioner recipe! I use it on my children and I on a regular basis. Every time we need a deep condition, particularly after taking out their braided styles.

We leave it in our hair a minimum of 1 – 2 hours. We have slept in it occassionally – (Tired Momma). Our Hair and curl patterns are very soft, silky, well-defined and very, very manageable! Results are noticed right away! As soon as it is rinsed out.

Ingredients:

One ripe avocado

One (overly) ripe banana

1 can of coconut milk

4 tablespoons honey

4 tablespoons olive oil

4 tablespoons Coconut Oil

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until very smooth, like a mousse. You do not want ANY chunks left.

2. The consistency should be familiar to a thick pudding or yogurt! I blend mines long enough that it turns into a fluffy avocado mousse

3. Apply conditioner to DRY Hair (before you wash) from roots to tips. If you have any left, you can either place it in the refrigerator and will last for about a week or, you can freeze the remaining conditioner in a ziplock bag.

4. Wrap your hair in a plastic cap or you could even saran wrap it, which is the method we use! As well as a thick exercise headband to prevent any dripping.

5. Leave on hair for at least 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water. We follow with our normal wash day routine located here:

6. Style your hair as desired
