Squash belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family of vegetables and includes all sorts of pumpkins, melons, zucchinis, etc. Acorn Squash has a moist, fleshy, fibrous yellow orangey interior and a ribbed, dark green orangey hard but edible rind, this squash justifies its name with its small, acorn-like structure and is the most commonly available squash throughout the year.
Acorn squash is concentrated with the antioxidant Vitamins A and C which have amazing effects on the skin.
Vitamin A is essential to the protection and health of the skin. It’s an antioxidant that eliminates the aging appearance of skin - wrinkling, lines, sagging, dark spots etc.
Vitamin C keeps the skin healthy on a cellular level. Sufficient Vitamin C levels in the body have glowing and nourishing effects on the skin because it keep skin cells maintained and repairs them when needed.
Why Go Dry? When water is introduced to a mixture it can grow mold and bacteria. Body care products that you buy commercially contain a hefty dose of harsh broad spectrum preservatives to give them a longer shelf life. Making these ingredients available to you in the dry powder form allows for a completely natural product with a great range of versatility.
