mILKs and yOGURTS contain lactic acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) ingredient that helps remove dead skin cells and stimulates new cell growth. Milk is considered one of the best sources of vital nutrients for the skin. It is rich in calcium, vitamin A, D, B6, B12, biotin and protein that can help produce healthier, glowing, beautiful skin and hair.

rICE is rich in amino acids, antioxidants and minerals which may reduce or slow down the skin ageing process. It could also inhibit the activity of elastase, an enzyme responsible for skin ageing. Thus, rice could help maintain skin elasticity and can reduce the appearance of ageing signs on the skin

Storage? My best suggested method for storing solid hair care products, is out in the open where air can circulate around the bar. This helps the bar to re-harden completely between uses, increasing the amount of uses you will get out of each bar

In soap making, the term “bastille,” commonly refers to cold process soap made with at least 70% olive oil. Olive oil is extremely gentle, making it the perfect oil for delicate or sensitive skin. This Bastille Soap Bar is comprised of olive oil and a small amount of coconut oil for cleansing properties. This recipe also uses luxurious and moisturizing milks. rICE pUDDING which is known for its antioxidant properties, is added to give the soap a soft natural color. All these skin-loving and gentle ingredients make this a wonderfully nourishing bar of soap

In many Southeast Asian countries, female rice farmers are said to have bathed in rice water and used it to wash and nourish their hair.

In Japan, dating back as far as the 9th century, women used fermented rice water to nourish their hair.
