cUCUMBER fACIAL - DIY

A cucumber mask must be one of the most basic and well loved facial treatments of all times. Everybody we know, including us, loves the cucumber and its cooling, hydrating and soothing effect on the skin. It is a worldwide favorite for people who want to pamper themselves And everyone, and that includes you, can enjoy a relaxing and satisfying natural spa experience right there in your own home with these cucumber masks. you probably have the ingredients already somewhere in your kitchen cabinets!!

Banana, Honey, Lemon Juice Cucumber mask
(For dry skin)


The banana in this cucumber mask is an extra moisturizer, and the honey makes sure the moisture stays in your skin. The lemon juice exfoliates. So this mask makes your skin feel extra re hydrated, nourished and revitalized


What do you need:


1/2 Banana
1/2 Cucumber
1 tablespoon Honey
4 tablespoons Lemon juice


How to do it:


Warm up the honey until it becomes liquid (not too hot) by putting it in a small glass or metal bowl which is immersed in hot water. Put the banana and cucumber in a food processor and mash them. Add the liquid honey and lemon juice and mix until you have a smooth workable substance


Spread the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck: keep the eye area clear
Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 30 minutes
Then wash it off with lukewarm water; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally apply a moisturizer, this way you “seal” your skin to keep the water inside

 

Honey, Yogurt, Oatmeal Cucumber mask
(For dry skin)


What do you need:


1 Cucumber
Plain unflavored Yogurt, with active cultures
2 tablespoons Honey
Oatmeal


How to do it:


Warm up the honey until it becomes liquid (not too hot) by putting it in a small glass or metal bowl which is immersed in hot water. Peel the cucumber and cut it into cubes. Put this together with the liquid honey, yogurt and oatmeal in a blender. Mix until you have a paste that is consistent enough so it will stay on your face without running


Spread the paste gently and equally with a facial mask brush or spatula on your clean face and neck: keep the eye area clear
Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 30 minutes
Then wash it off with lukewarm water; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally apply a moisturizer, this way you “seal” your skin to keep the water inside


Aloe Vera Cucumber mask
(For oily skin)


This very simple cucumber mask hydrates and soothes. The cooling and cleansing cucumber softens and makes your skin suppler. Especially acne ridden, inflamed, stressed out and sunburned skin will thank you for using this simple aloe vera cucumber facial mask


What do you need:


1/2 Cucumber
2 tablespoons Aloe Vera gel


How to do it:


Peel the cucumber and cut it in pieces. Put the cucumber pieces together with the aloe vera in a food processor and blend them until you have a nice smooth paste
Spread the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck: keep the eye area clear


Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 30 minutes
Finally wash it off with cold water; pat your skin dry with a clean towel

 

yOGURT + cUCUMBER mASK
(For oily skin)

The combination of the natural cleansing and astringent affect of cucumber together with the soothing and exfoliating affect of yogurt makes this a simple but all-round mask. It’s great for all skin types but can be especially helpful in fighting excess oil, clogged pores and blemishes

What do you need:

1 Cucumber
1/2 cup of Plain unflavored Yogurt, with active cultures
1 teaspoon non-fat Milk Powder


How to do it:

Peel and cut the cucumber into small cubes, you can remove the seeds for a smoother consistency of the mask. Put it in a food processor and add the yogurt and the milk powder. Blend it until you have a smooth substance that will stay on your face without running. Don’t overdo the blending

Spread the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck: keep the eye area clear


Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes
Finally wash it off with a warm wash cloth and warm water and end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel
